Coalition Praises Military Recruitment Surge and Renewed Mission Strength Under President Trump

WASHINGTON – The Coalition for Military Excellence (CME), DOD Watch, and The American Border Story (TABS) issued the following joint statement after multiple departments and agencies have reported surging recruitment and renewed operational strength under President Donald Trump’s second term:

“What we’re witnessing is more than a boost in recruitment numbers. This is a cultural revival. President Trump has reignited pride in serving our great nation. Young Americans are once again inspired to wear the uniform, driven by a renewed excitement to defend the country they love. Under this administration, leaders have been appointed who not only understand the mission, but lead with conviction and respect for those who serve. That type of leadership attracts the best and brightest, leading to the spikes in recruitment occurring across military branches and federal agencies tasked with protecting our communities.

“Across the military and throughout key agencies like the Coast Guard and Border Patrol, there’s a visible surge in morale, recruitment, and mission focus. This is patriotism in action. When you have leaders who truly love America and honor the everyday soldier, sailor, airman, marine, and agent, Americans respond. They want to be part of that. They want to serve a cause greater than themselves.

“For years, leadership denigrated the institutions that keep us safe—mocking our values, downplaying service, and eroding national pride. When American pride returns, so does the desire to protect it. The Trump administration’s respect for our military and our country has reawakened a warrior spirit, which is grounded in honor, tradition, and strength. 

“America is safer, stronger, and more secure when we embrace our values, respect those who defend them, and lead with clarity and conviction. This resurgence in recruitment and readiness across our armed forces and national security institutions reflects a culture of warriors who are proud to call themselves American. The results speak for themselves: people want to serve again.”
