DOD Watch Condemns Pentagon for Continuing Gender-Affirming Care

WASHINGTON – DOD Watch, an organization dedicated to exposing radical policies within the Department of Defense (DOD), issued the following statement after the Pentagon announced it would resume gender-affirming care for transgender service members:

"DOD Watch strongly condemns the Pentagon’s decision to reinstate gender-affirming care for transgender service members, a move that undermines the military’s readiness and dilutes its focus on core mission objectives. This action, driven by a court order, is a step backwards in the effort to restore discipline and strength to the U.S. military, as it prioritizes social engineering over the operational excellence required to defend our nation.

“Despite efforts from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in reforming military policies to improve readiness, this court-imposed decision forces the Department of Defense to return to the flawed Biden-era policy that allows for gender-affirming treatments and opens the door for transgender individuals to serve openly. DOD Watch believes that the military should remain focused on individuals who are physically and mentally prepared to serve, not on divisive policies that promote ideological agendas at the expense of military effectiveness.

“We continue to support efforts that would ensure the military’s policies align with traditional values of strength, unity, and discipline, values that are essential for maintaining the U.S. military’s superiority. DOD Watch calls on the Pentagon to prioritize the readiness and success of our armed forces over the implementation of social policies that distract from its critical mission.”
