DOD Watch Praises Secretary Hegseth's Memo on Restoring Combat Arms Standards and Rejecting Woke Policies

WASHINGTON – DOD Watch, an organization dedicated to exposing radical policies within the Department of Defense, issued the following statement after Secretary Pete Hegseth issued a memo ordering the military to implement the same physical standards for both men and women in the military:

“DOD Watch applauds the memo from Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth directing the U.S. military to adopt the same physical fitness standards for both men and women serving in combat roles. This move is a crucial step in restoring the traditional values of strength, excellence, and unity within our Armed Forces. 

“Under the previous administration, the Pentagon has embraced policies that prioritized political correctness over military readiness, undermining the effectiveness of our combat arms and the safety of those who serve. Secretary Hegseth’s memo represents a decisive shift away from these misguided, woke policies that have increasingly plagued our military and diminished our ability to defend this nation.

“Combat roles are defined by the rigorous demands of warfare, and it is essential that all service members, regardless of sex, meet the highest possible standards. These standards must be based solely on operational requirements and the need to confront any adversary head-on. DOD Watch firmly believes that the military's effectiveness and readiness should never be compromised for the sake of social experimentation or virtue signaling.
