DOD Watch Statement on Appeals Court Ruling Against Trump Administration's Transgender Troop Policy

WASHINGTON – DOD Watch, an organization dedicated to exposing radical policies within the Department of Defense, issued the following statement after the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against President Trump’s ban on transgender troops in the military.

“The ruling from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals is part of a disturbing trend of judges with clear ideological motivations preventing the Trump administration from delivering on the agenda voters elected them to implement. Rolling back the radical, woke policies that infiltrated the Department of Defense during the failed tenure of the previous administration is part of that agenda. At a time when our nation faces growing global threats, the U.S. military must remain focused on its primary mission: ensuring our national security. By prioritizing political correctness over military readiness and cohesion, we risk weakening the effectiveness of our military.

“Activist judges should not be able to undermine the administration’s efforts to protect our national security. The Ninth Circuit chose to rule against unit cohesion and the military's overall readiness, which will have a direct impact on the safety of our armed forces.

“We stand by President Trump’s commitment to restore military excellence through policies that prioritize readiness, discipline, and strength. The fight to uphold the transgender ban in the military is not just about legalities. It’s about protecting the integrity of the armed forces and ensuring that our military remains focused on its critical mission to defend our country. Our military must remain steadfast in its pursuit of excellence, not distracted by divisive, woke agendas that threaten its unity and strength.”
